Come and join our ride. We encourage you to join us and help get more people out on their bikes on a friendly group ride. You will need a reasonable level of fitness whichever group you are in.
Rides are typically around 30 miles from the shop with a few steady climbs.
Please choose the group that you will be comfy riding in.
Group 1 will leave first and if you dont like the pace you can drop into the Group 2 or Group 3.
If its a nice night we may stop at the pub at the end of the ride. (bring coin)
This is a club group social ride, so lead riders (front riders) should respect the group speed and aim for the most part to maintain a steady pace the group can hold.
Usual group etiquette applies
Point out dangers i.e potholes, cars, etc
ride in pairs when safe,
keeping a formation,
wheels staggered with next bike
maintaining a steady speed when its your turn on the front
Things to generally avoid include
Half wheeling.
increasing speed when you come to front.
sitting on someones wheel then shooting past and dropping them.
going to fast too soon
too much time at the front or back of group.
Worrying about being dropped on a climb (we will wait)
All riders will ride at their own risk.
Safety will be your own responsibility at all times so please ensure your bike is in good working order, equipped with front & rear lights and that you wear a suitable helmet.
Please show your support for the club by wearing your club kit if you are a member.
