Historical Egypt in Photographs from 1839 to Present

Lecture for Egyptology Scotland by Marcel Maessen, founder of the Ta.wy Project

The name photography was used for the first time in 1839. Famous, infamous and less well known photographers will pass the revue, as will well-known and less well known monuments, objects and places.
