Writer's Forum is a chance for all the lovely playwrights of UoB to come together to chat about their work, hear it out loud and get feedback (if they want it.)
Over the next year we will be running a series of workshops on different styles as well as the more traditional forum format, which will hopefully prove useful to all our brilliant members.
In week six we will be talking about READINGS! This is a really exciting chance to hear your play out loud, feel what works and what doesn't and get feedback. We will be taking up to four readings this term and this session is a chance for you to come and talk to us about your play, why you want a reading, what you could get out of it and see whether we can help you out. Priority for these readings is given to people who have attended Writer's Forum regularly but everyone is welcome (and very much encouraged) to come along and share their idea. No play is too short but sadly we can't arrange for anything longer than two hours. If you have the start of an idea but nothing finished, please come along anyway and have a chat, we can start thinking about next term!
If this sounds helpful, please send your play or extracts of it in to the watch this email by midnight on Tuesday 14th:
watchthis@guild.bham.ac.uk.
Flora Wilson Brown (Watch This Writer's Liaison) will be leading the sessions this year so feel free to send her any questions you have, she loves liaising with other writers.
